LMA Collaborated with Rotary Club of Lucknow in Dessehra Diawali Celebration Jashn e Dandiya on 20 October 2018 There were multiple fun activities like Kids on Ramp, Singing Contest, Best Performance Dandiya Queen, Diva of the Evening, Beautiful Eyes, Beautiful Hair Do, Best Sas-Bahu, Mr & Mrs. & Prince of the Event and many more. There were also Lucky Dip, Game Stalls, Eatable Stalls, Handicraft Stalls, Corporate Stalls for entertainment of members and their families.
LMA collaborated with Lions Club Lucknow Intelligentsia, Astitva, Ruktapurak Charitable Foundation and Computer Society of India in organizing a mega Blood donation, an Eye and Body Donation and a Mega Health Checkup Camp on 20 October 2018. Health check included Eye check up by Contacted Eye Hospital, Dental check-up by Dr Vikram of Smile Dental, Diabetes check-up - Dr Mohans Diabetic Centre, Ortho check-up by Dr Pankaj Srivastava, Dietician - Dr Neeraj, Dr Samir - Naina Homeo Care – Homeopathic and Naturopathy by Dr Shikha Gupta
As a pre-convention event, LMA - AWOKE India jointly organized on World Students Day on 13 October a session in collaboration with Commerce Department of Awadh Girls College on the LMA Convention theme “From Financial Literacy to Financial Inclusion.” Mr. Pravin Dwivedi President AWOKE India Foundation spoke on the theme and CA Devesh Agarwal on “Goods & Services Tax”.
LMA collaborated with Start Up Jalsa and E-Cell of IIT Kanpur to organize a startup pitch-in event IIT Kanpur on 10 October 2018. The event included a talk on Start Ups by Mr. Sumit Jain, co-founder Common and selling it for $200 million and then starting Open talk. Sumit Jain has an experience of 11 years in entrepreneurship. Startup Jalsa is the leading startup conference in India helping early-stage startups with mentoring and fundraising. Entering the 4th year, there is a PAN India drive which is being organized in 9 locations including IIT Madras,IIT Hyderabad, IIT Bombay, IIM Calcutta , Startup Oasis Jaipur, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangelore to connect with the local ecosystem of the country. Participating startup have an opportunity of guaranteed funding of Rs.1 Crore.
LMA - YMF in association with JNPG College organised workshop on “Presentation Skills” on 9 October 2018.. The workshop was conducted by CA Devesh Agarwal, Treasurer LMA. The trained participants will be participating in the Campus Placement Programme of the College.

In an outreach programme LMA and AWOKE India jointly organized a seminar on Environment, cleanliness and financial literacy in Ismailpur Village, Dist. Gonda for the students and teachers of Janki Devi Saraswati Shishu Mandir Prathmik Vidyalaya,. The program was inaugurated by Justice S C Verma (Retired).Mr. K.D. Singh of Indian Forest Service and Mr. G.P. Tripathi of AWOKE India were the others speakers.
LMA in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Micro-finance Association (UPMA) and AWOKE India Foundation organized a Bankers - Micro-Finance Round Table on 29 September. The objective of this session was to speed up credit distribution from financial inclusion perspective and find solutions to the challenges being faced in the process. Senior officers of Banks, RBI, SIDBI, NABARD and State Government were invited to participate in the roundtable. Participants included Dr Ram Jass Yadav, GM-Bank of Baroda and convener State Level Bankers Committee, Shri A K Singh, CGM- NABARD, Shri Bhanu Verma,, DGM - SIDBI besides MFI heads and senior Bankers from many public sector and private Banks. Mr. Sudhir Sinha CEO UPMA moderated while Chairman AWOKE India Prof Chakraborty and Pravin Dwivedi, VP-LMA led the deliberations. It transpired that Banks and MFIs would bridge the gap and work closely to increase credit flow. MFIs would target lending to stakeholders of One District One Product (ODOP) programme of the State Government. MFIs should use training infra of Banks and BIRD to bring awareness about changes in the sector. Also they would engage in financial literacy of beneficiaries
As a sequel to a session on Rejuvenation for Growth and happiness given by Sri Nirmal Kumar on 9 July 2018, which was widely appreciated by members, another workshop on Manthan for Success and Happy Life by Sri Nirmal Kumar ji was organized on 25 September 2018. Prayer and Meditation are necessary for everyone. In prayer, we speak and God listens; in meditation, God speaks and we listen, provided we do this in the right way-says Sri Nirmal Kumar. The workshop had a large agenda including discovering Self, and our mission of life; remaining healthy through Gyan Indries, Karm Indries and five elements; effective ways to practice Sadhna and amazing experience of bliss. Sound health, active and happy mental state of Sri Nirmal Kumar at the age of 89 is a testimony to efficacy of the practices covered in the workshop. Sri Nirmal Kumar is a distinguished HR professional, a President and Prime Minister awardee and a Former Head of HR in DCM and Hindalco Industries. He travels extensively to conduct courses in industries across the country in addition to running his own training set up Gyan Ganga at Aashiana, Lucknow.
LMA won AIMA’s Best Local Management Association Award in category II for the year 2017-18. The Award was presented by Mr. Sanjiv Mehta Chairman & Managing Director Hindustan Unilever Ltd in the 45th National Management Convention held on 26 and 27 September at New Delhi. This was the sixth year when LMAreceived the award.

She has been practicing Rajayoga meditation for last 15 years. She is managing Gomti Nagar, Center in Lucknow.Sister informed the participants the importance of Values, ethics in Life. and conducted a meditation session.

LMA Organized an industrial visit to newly constructed plant of AMUL Dairy on 20 September. Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd. (GCMMF), owner of the popular brand AMUL is India's largest food product marketing organization with annual turnover (2017-18) US $ 4.5 billion. It is world's largest producer of milk and its assorted products. Its daily milk procurement is approx 18 million lit from 18,554 village milk cooperative societies, 18 member unions covering 33 districts, and 3.6 million milk producer members. AMUL has recently set up a Rs 200 crore modern dairy on 20 acres of Chak Ganjaria farmland on Sultanpur Road. AMUL officials made a presentation about the cooperative structure of AMUL before a large group of visiting LMA members before giving a conducted tour of the state of the art world class plant

In run up to LMA Convention 2018 on From Financial Literacy to Financial Inclusion, LMA in collaboration with AWOKE India Foundation and Kotak Mahindra Bank organized a stakeholders interactive session on 19 September 2018 with participation of industries. Members of Assocham, FICCI and Indian industries Association besides Kotak Mahindra Bank and AWOKE India. Mr. Indermohan Singh Vice President Kotak Mahindra Bank Regional Office New Delhi made the lead presentation.
LMA in collaboration with Department of IT & Electronics, Govt. of U.P. and IIM Lucknow organized U.P. Startup Conclave on 15 September 2018. This was arguably the biggest Startup event in Uttar Pradesh so far which brought together around 450 stakeholders of startup ecosystem like Investors, incubators, mentors and startups. Around 120 shortlisted startups at ideation stage and product stage in different sectors like Education, Health, Advance Technology, E- Commerce, Fintech, and others pitched their business plans before investors and incubators in 8 parallel sessions of first round and 3 parallel sessions of final round. There was a structured networking round between startups and mentors, investors and incubators with one-to-one interactions. Cash Awards for Winners, two Runners up and Best startup in student category, Women category and Social Impact category were given. Guest speakers in an Award Ceremony, who also acted as Jury, included Mr. KC Ayyagari from Google India, Mr. Saurabh Jain from Paytm, Aayush Jain Principal, Unicorn India Ventures, Mr. Digvijay Singh COO Indian Angel Network, Mr. Rishi Srivastava Founder & CEO TechAccess, Mr. Vinayak Nath M.D. Uttar Pradesh Venture Catalyst Ltd, Mr. Yashwanth Sandupatla from Ankur Capital, and Mohit Babu from Exfinity Ventures. Hon. Minister for IT & Electronics U.P. Shri Mohsin Raza, the Chief Guest in the Awards session and Mr.Ajay Kumar Kapur, Deputy Managing Director SIDBI was the Guest of Honour. Mr. Alok Sinha Additional Chief Secretary IT & Electronics, Govt. of U.P., Prof Ajit Prasad Director IIML, Mr. Kumar Prashant Managing Director U.P.. Electronics Corporation and Mr. A.K. Mathur Sr. Vice President LMA spoke in the session. An exhibition showcasing products of startups was also organized in the conclave. The event was widely reported in print and electronic media.

LMA was invited by Government of Uttar Pradesh for an interactive session of Chickenkari stakeholder’s on 29 August to brainstorm the contours of a mega event to scale up Lucknow Chickankari under Government’s One District One Product intervention. After the deliberations, LMA was invited to develop a concept paper and the agenda for the proposed event in consultation with all stakeholders. Those present in the session included Mr. Anup Chandra Pandey Chief Secretary U.P., Mr. Bhuvnesh Kumar Secretary MSME, and Mr. K. Ravindra Naik Director Industries besides LMA core group of office bearers and a few members.

LMA in collaboration with BSNV College organized a National Seminar on Digital Learning Opportunities and Challenges in Higher Education Institutions on 5 May 2018. The objective of the seminar was to provide a forum to the academicians, researchers and policy maker from different disciplines for dissemination of contemporary research on a wide range of issues related to ICT based or digital learning environment in campus specially higher education institutions. Besides the inaugural and valedictory sessions, there were two Technical sessions with presentation of elected papers. Ms. Sanyukta Bhatia Mayor of Lucknow was the Chief Guest and Prof K.C. Vashishtha was the Guest of Honour and keynote speaker on Digital Learning.

LMA in collaboration with AWOKE India Foundation, National Stock Exchange and Faizabad Management Association organized a workshop on Raising Capital by SMEs through IPOs. on 16 August 2018. Mr. Rakesh Khurana Regional Head SMES, National Stock Exchange and Mr. Pravin Dwivedi President AWOKE India Foundation were the speakers. Besides SME community of Faizabad, Mr. L.K. Jhunwala President FMA and other FMA members were present in the programme.
As a part of its outreach activities, LMA in collaboration with Amity University and Saraswati Dental College’, Lucknow, organized free dental checkup and health campaign with free medical consultation and medicine distribution in the villages of Laulai and Sikanderpur on 9 August 2018. The objective of the programme was to generate awareness of students about the grass root realities of rural India and among the rural folk about necessity of dental care. Students of Amity School of Languages boarded the Medical Van of Saraswati Dental College and moved to the venue ‘Panchayat Bhawan, Laulai’ where a team of trainee doctors and a resident doctor Dr Pallavi examined the patients. Students helped the rural folk in their medical checkup and get free medicines. LMA gave away certificates to students and the doctors of Saraswati Dental College for their efforts and enthusiasm with which they conducted the event.
On the occasion of United National International Youth Day , LMA - YMF in association with Rotary Club and Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University organized a Motivational Lecture on 13th August 2018 . The Speaker was Prof. Laxmi Kant Maheshwari Former Vice Chancellor BITS, Pilani. He shared his valuable experiences on how to make education more meaningful.
LMA and AWOKE India Foundation have jointly propose to organize the LMA Convention 2018 on the theme "FROM FINANCIAL LITERACY TO FINANCIAL INCLUSION" on 27.10.2018. As a precursor to this convention, LMA and AWOKE India have planned a series of pre-convention workshops and interactions with stakeholders on the same theme. A round table of Bankers on the theme was organized on 12 August 2018. The agenda of the round table included the road map for effective execution capability for financial literacy, the journey so far on key financial literacy parameters, challenges and way forward with particular reference to the State of Uttar Pradesh. Among those present were Dr. Anoop Chandra Pandey, lAS, Chief Secretary, GoUP, Regional Director Reserve Bank of India and Convener State Level Banker’s Committee besides LMA’s core committee of office bearers.
On the International Youth Day 12 August, Young Managers forum of LMA organized a colloquium on theme “Safe Spaces for Youth” as given by United Nations The event was for youth between the age of 18-35 years. and provided an opportunity to the participants through focused group dialogues to find a clear direction in life with positivity and determination. Inputs, activities and workshop were used as tools to conduct the event. Dr. Urvashi Sahani Phd (UC Berkley) Founder Study Hall was the Chief Guest.
LMA partnered with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) in an awareness programme of 2nd Vibrant Gujarat Start-Up and Technology Summit (VG-STS) 2018, with the theme of ‘Experience the Next’ on 11 August 2018. This event scheduled on 11, 12 and 13 October 2018 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat shall have the largest conglomeration of start-ups, investors, technology and Ideas.
LMA organized a SIX SIGMA WHITE BELT WORKSHOP on 12 August 2018 The workshop was designed to explore the basics of SIX SIGMA quality tool towards excellence at any work station among the employees. Six Sigma White Belt is the basic level of certification that provides information about basic concepts of Six Sigma. The programme schedule included Introduction to Six Sigma Concept DMAIC Approach, Case Study Formation Analysis of the Problem Tools of Problem Solving and an Interactive session on suggestions for implementation and feedback. Faculty: Dr. Dheeraj Mehrotra, a White & Yellow Belt holder of Six Sigma, is an Academic Evangelist at Next Education India Pvt. Ltd., a Hyderabad based E-Learning Service Provider to K12 School. Dr. Mehrotra has expertise in implementing TQM, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, Experiential Learning and NLP in Academics. As a National Teacher Awardee, he has contributed to the field of education with over 50 publications on various subjects including Computer Science, Education Management, Parenting, NLP and Total Quality Management. He has published the first book on “Implementing Six Sigma In Education”

LMA organized a Study cum Outreach programme to Manavodaya Institute of Participatory Development in village Dugaria off Sitapur Road on 6 August 2018. Manavodaya, a partner with Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai, is credited with developing the concept of Self Help Groups now being practiced successfully in all parts of the country. It has trained several thousand practitioners/professionals in NGOs, banks, government agencies and cooperatives from different parts of India and other countries like the U.S., U.K., Norway, Sri Lanka, Nepal. Programmes at Manavodaya, focus on methods of promoting self-help, empowerment and values-based development.The Institute was founded by Mr. Varun Vidyarthi and is being run by him with his physicist wife since 1985. . Varun, an Electrical and Engineering graduate from IIT, Kharagpur and MBA from IIM Calcutta, abandoned a lucrative corporate career to live and work for poor villagers in Uttar Pradesh. What is the purpose of your life; how can the poor be motivated to mobilize resources & work on their own development? These were some of the questions discussed in the interaction session with LMA team and would form a part of an International Course on People Development at Manavodaya Institute of Participatory Development starting shortly. Mr. R. Ramani Former Chief Secretary Uttar Pradesh participated in the session.
On the first anniversary of GST roll out, LMA in collaboration with FICCI and ASSOCHAM organized a panel discussion on 28 July 2018 in which some of the stakeholders reviewed various aspects of its implementation so far and come up with a road map for a for improving the various processes. The panel comprised Mr. Kiron Chopra Chairman & Managing Director Chopra Rectec, Mr. Rajata Mehra Partner Rajat Chemical Industries, Mr. M.K. Singh Former Member of Trade Tax Tribunal( Member of GST) Gurukul) and Ms. Reena Bhargava Chartered Accountant &Tax Consultant and a senior officer of Commercial Department of the State Government. Dr. Arvind Mohan Professor & Head, Economics Department University of Lucknow moderated the panel.
In an outreach programme for Farmers and Self Help Group LMA in collaboration with Community Empowerment Lab, CSIR-CIMAP, AWOKE India Foundation and Indian Oversees Bank organized a Workshop on Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation by Farmers on 27 July at Shivgarh in District Raebareli. The participants were provided meaningful inputs on need for savings; saving instruments, various Government schemes available to benefit and empower them and how to move away from traditional crops to industrial crops to substantially enhance their income. Dr. R.K. Srivastava from CSIR-CIMAP, Mr. Pravin Dwivedi of AWOKE India and Mr. G.P. Trivedi from IOB led the discussions on various themes. LMA along with CEL proposed a programme for impact assessment study on implementation of various ideas generated and accepted by the participants.

Among the EC members present were Mr. Alok Ranjan Former Chief Secretary, Past President and Patron LMA, Prof Ajit Prasad Director IIM Lucknow, Prof Vinay Pathak Vice Chancellor Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Mr. KK Singh Executive Director NTPC, Prof A.K. Mittal Vice Chancellor BBD University, Mr. Gautam Sengupta Chief General Manager SBI, Dr. Amrita Das Founder Director Institute of Career Studies, Dr. Kavita Pathak Director Jaipuria Institute of Management and many others. Several major programmes conceptualized for FY 2018-19 were announced in the meeting including an overseas programme at Slovenia and Vienna.

The workshop discussed issues like ? Discovering self, who am I? ? How fortunate am I? ? Vision of life ? Who stops learning may continue to breath but ceases to live. Sri Nirmal Kumar is a Former HR Head of Hindalco with scintillating achievements in the field of human resource development. He is over 89 years old and does not only keep himself physically fit, mentally alert and spiritually elevated but travels 10 days in a month to conduct management development programmes across the country in addition to running his own training set up at Lucknow in Aashiana.
LMA joined Clean and Green Environmental Society (CGES) in its Third Foundation Day organized in collaboration with National Botanical Research Institute.on 8 July 2018. A Seminar on "Retail Branding for Retail Businessmen" was organized on 30 June 2016 in collaboration with The Masters Lab. Mr. Azam Siddiqui of Master?s Lab made the lead presentation on how to brand organizations/products and increase sales. The interactive seminar was conducted through a series of live examples of successful brands.
LMA partnered with Department of Industrial Develoment, Govt of U.P. in an interactive session in Uddyam Sangam 2018 on 28 June 2018 in which LMA presented a plan to catalyze raising capital by SMEs of Uttar Pradesh through IPOs. Ravinder Naik Director Industries, by General Managers of District Industries Centres in Uttar Pradesh. In this plan LMA in collaboration with National Stock Exchange Ltd and AWOKE India Foundation will organize workshops for MSMEs at all District Headquarters of the State on how MSMEs could raise capital through IPOs. Mr. Rakesh Khurana of NSE EMERGE, a platform for small businesses made a presentation in the session.
LMA collaborated with UPTEC Computer Consultancy Ltd in organizing a workshop on "Smart Contract in Block Chain- A Demonstrative Approach" on 28 June 2018. The lead speaker was Dr. Rajiv Pandey from Amity Institute of Information Technology, Amity University, Lucknow Campus. His research interests include the contemporary technologies as Info Security, Semantic Web Provenance, Cloud and Big Data, and Data Analytics. He has published more than 40 research papers in Scopus, and other science indexed journals of repute. He has been Session chairs, Technical committee member for various IEEE and Elsevier conference. He is also a member of Machine Intelligence Research Labs.

Earlier Dr. Mandhani was with Fortis escorts and has worked for 22 years with Sanjay Gandhi Post graduate Institute of Medical science and Research, Lucknow, one of the best teaching hospitals of the country where he was a professor of Urology. By doing a variety of complex oncological and reconstructive surgeries by laparoscopy and robotic approach for prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, testicular cancer and penile cancer, he has helped bring back smile to the aggrieved patient with humility.

Gyan Dairy?s wide portfolio includes Milk, Skimmed Milk Powder, Whole Milk Powder, Butter, Ghee, and an array of indigenous milk products like Paneer, Curd, Mattha and Chhachh etc. The Dairy is controlled by process automation whereby state-of-the-art microprocessor technology is adopted to integrate and automate milk processing areas.
